Meet Anoushka Sinha, FRSA

Our founder and the chief impact officer at the Anupam Foundation.

Anoushka Sinha is a social entrepreneur and activist passionate about human rights she has been advocating for gender, education equality and climate justice since she was 10 years old.


She started her journey by organizing campaigns at local NGOs, at the age of 12 she began working as a radio jockey and ran three seasons of her own radio show aimed towards children in rural India.


She then went on to lead and serve as an ambassador for UNEP, a Young People Action Team member and youth advisor at YuWaah Generation Unlimited At UNICEF India and UNESCO GYC, SDG4 Youth Network advocate among other international charities and has worked for various humanitarian organizations like the ONE campaign and Plan International.


From experiencing the climate crisis firsthand to losing her father in high school to being pressured to be married in a male dominant society at 18 Anoushka has persevered.She has upheld her fight to advocate fiercely for climate change and gender injustice and since then has continued paving the way for many young leaders like her to pursue higher education and has empowered youth globally to become self sufficient and educated through her advocacy, mentorship and activism.


Her journey has taught her fearlessness, resilience and an undying desire to bridge the gap, dismantle barriers for women and girls globally. She has been recognised worldwide for her impact and her recognitions include the Diana Award which is the highest accolade a young person can receive for their social advocacy,presented to her by the Royal Family in UK, she has been awarded by the GirlUp UN Foundation,KidsRights Changemakers, PeaceFirst and has been named among one of the few teens to be featured on NASDAQ as breaking the glass ceiling for girls in STEM, A Points Of Light Honor Roll inductee by former US president George W Bush she is also one of the youngest fellows to be ever elected into the Royal Society of Arts, London, she is also a part of the Forbes Women network and is the sole World Literacy Award finalist from Asia. She continues to be a fierce advocate for children and women and continues to lead the change for young people around the world.
